Review: Body of Evidence (Evidence #2) by Rachel Grant
Ms Grant is fast becoming one of my new favorite romantic suspense authors.
What I liked: This is the third book I've read by Rachel Grant and she keeps me wanting more. Body of Evidence has a lot of twists and turns that keeps the story moving right along. I really enjoyed how Ms Grant turned my thoughts on their side. I had a picture of all the bad guys and was surprised by the conclusion of the story.
Mara is a bit different from the previous heroines in Ms Grant's books. She seems more open and optimistic. I like the depth in her character. Curt was not my favorite hero but I'm not sure I can put my finger on why. It was nice to see a character from a previous book make an appearance.
What I didn't like: The whole novel was entertaining but the ending was a bit abrupt for me. Everything is happening and then, it's over. I mean, I know all books have to end but not so easily or quickly. That's me trying to find something I didn't like.
If you like romantic suspense, you will enjoy all Ms Grant's work. Not quick reads but entertaining and of course, suspenseful.
This is an indie book and the paperback price reflects that at $10.43 but the Kindle version is well worth the price of $3.99
Highly recommend!
