Battle (Winged, #6)

What I liked: The focus was all on the upcoming Battle and everything leading up to it. The sex scenes reflected more love making rather than wild sex. Yes, I said that. The relationships between Joanne, Raphael and Michael are more in keeping with the tone of this novel. It's about the love and the connections between the characters.
What was really fantastic was that Ms Pruitt stayed true to the changes in Joanne's character. She's not magically "cured" from one book to the next. The problems from Alliance are still present and everyone is trying to deal with them. Joanne most of all.
What I didn't like: I've been a Raphael fan from the beginning and occasionally I felt he got the short end of the stick but, as I've progressed through the series, I've changed my mind. I think it's more the nature of Raphael's personality to accept things as they are.
This final novel in the Winged series ties up all the knots but opens the door to a new series, hopefully beginning in May 2014. I know I can't wait!!
This is an e-book only and is reasonably priced at $4.99
Needless to say, you need to start with the first book, Winged, and progress through to Battle to get the full effect of this series.
Highly Recommend!!
