Binder (A Michael Herne Novel)

Binder (A Michael Herne Novel #2) - David Vinjamuri Another new author thanks to NetGalley. Tantalizing lead character.

What I liked: Although I hadn't read the first novel in this series, I could easily follow the story and didn't feel I was missing too much. Having said that, I found the lead, Michael Herne, so interesting, I will go back and read the first in the series, Operator. The characters felt like "real" people. They weren't perfect, they had everyday problems in their lives. While I didn't know it at specific points in the story, all the plot lines tied together and it didn't feel contrived. I enjoyed the suspense and the interaction between all the characters. The story flowed very well and felt complete. I seriously couldn't figure out all the clues.

What I didn't like: Some of the things the lead did seemed beyond belief but as this is fiction, Mr. Vinjamuri could have his hero do just about anything he wanted.

This is available only in Kindle. The price, $4.97, could be an issue for some and does seem a bit high for only the second book in the series.
